Jenny created Gökotta to fill a gap she saw in the real estate and urban development industry. While having a technical background and being a trained engineer, her greatest passion is around social equity issues. She has discovered that the most impactful work can be done when we combine science, data and technology with compassion, creativity and determination. Her goal is to utilize her skills in both areas to help others bridge the communication gap. She doesn't believe in doing things the way they have always been done, but rather tapping into new voices to create better solutions.
Jenny most recently oversaw Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for Crescent Communities. Prior to that she worked in Sustainability for Bank of America and Crosland. She began her career in LA as a General Contractor and easily names her internship with Walt Disney Imagineering as the catalyst for her career.
Jenny received both her bachelor and master's of Architectural Engineering from Penn State University in 2003. In addition to being both a LEED AP BD+C and Homes, she has her Six Sigma Greenbelt and is a GRI Certified Sustainability Reporter.
She lives to travel the world and is known as a vocal advocate of transracial adoption, a wannabe bourbon connoisseur and making kickass family holiday cards.
